Parramatta RSL Caledonian Pipe Band – History
Parramatta RSL Caledonian Pipe Band is a cherished institution with roots tracing back to 1944. A band steeped in Scottish tradition and a storied history of excellence in various grades at contests that has evolved into a social band, we proudly uphold the timeless tradition of donning full military dress for our performances, including feather bonnets, military tunics, plaids, and sporrans.
From the solemnity of the Sydney Anzac Day march to the lively atmosphere of the Bundanoon Highland Gathering, and the esteemed ceremonies of the RSL, Masonic Lodges, and Bathurst Highland Society events, our band brings the stirring melodies of the Highlands to life.
2/4th Battalion
The Parramatta RSL Caledonian Pipe Band has a long history linking us to the 2nd 4th Battalion and we play during their wreath laying in Martin Place every year on ANZAC day as well as during their luncheon later that day.
